About us

LE White Bar

Le White Bar at ORTO on West Coast Highway is the neighbourhood social hub, a well known family‑friendly KTV pub in the west that pairs relaxed dining with lively, well‑managed entertainment. Private KTV rooms sit alongside large screens for matchdays, plus pool and darts areas. The venue runs daily, budget‑friendly promotions, community nights, live bands, and pool tournaments while maintaining a comfortable, family‑appropriate volume and ambience. Service is prompt, drinks are served cold, and the layout lets evenings flow naturally from dinner to sing‑alongs and late‑night hangs.

Ah Bear Mookata and Ah Bear Seafood

Ah Bear Mookata began in 2019 as a late‑night stall in Clementi West with a single mission: feed people honestly and generously. The kitchen built a devoted following with bold marinades and a signature squid paste, turning every table into a hands‑on feast. NUS students, families, and regulars made visits a ritual, and the bear mascot came to symbolize warm hospitality, generous portions, and communal dining.

Riding that momentum, the team expanded into larger formats and launched Ah Bear Seafood, a tze char–style stall that quickly won fans across the west. Despite strong popularity and a large following, rising rents forced Ah Bear Seafood to close. The brand’s pan‑to‑table philosophy, flavour‑forward cooking, and focus on shared meals remain central to everything the team does.

Prawning Team — Ah Kiam

Led by Ah Kiam, a well known figure in the prawning community with over ten years’ experience and formerly of Prawning@ORTO, the prawning team runs pond operations with professional care. They manage pond health, bait strategy, session flow, safety protocols, and hands‑on guest coaching. Their approachable prawning packages are designed to be rewarding for beginners and satisfying for seasoned prawners, turning prawning into a highlight activity that complements food, drinks and group play.

Le West Den Experience

Le West Den at ORTO West Coast brings together Le White Bar, Ah Bear Mookata, Ah Bear Seafood Stall, and a professional prawning operation across a cohesive 9,000 sqft social destination. Guests can catch their own prawns, grill at BBQ pits and mookata tables, or have our tze char chefs cook their catch for a small fee. The venue offers layered prawning and fishing experiences across species and session types to suit families, students, and seasoned anglers, with targets including giant freshwater prawns, yabby (Australian freshwater lobster), marble goby aka soon hock (premium delicate‑fleshed fish), and tilapia for quick, thrilling catches.
